THE SUBJECT by Carolyn Kras

Siberian Lights and Blue Ash have come together for a global Rehearsed Reading of Carolyn Kras’ ‘The Subject’ in response to the Stanford rape case. These readings will be taking place across the world throughout September and November, and we are proud to be producing the London branch of this project.

All profits will be going towards the amazing charity ‘One in Four’.

‘The Subject’, one of the best-kept secrets of the Royal Family.

Princess Sophia was the 12th child of the mad King George III. Sophia grew up with her sisters in their mother’s cloistered household, often referred to as “the Nunnery”. Due to the King’s madness the princesses were not permitted to mix with anyone outside of the Royal Court. In fact, they rarely came into contact with men at all.

So why, throughout history, is Sophia know for a whore?

The Subject explores how much one is willing to sacrifice for the sake of reputation and the Royal Throne.

Date: 13/11/16
